Settings Guide

Settings use a category + sub-page structure so users can find and change options without scrolling one long page.

Layout

• Left sidebar groups settings into categories (General, Appearance, Filaments, Data, Advanced, etc.).
• Main panel shows focused settings for the selected page only.
• Section badges identify Modified, Advanced, and Experimental options.

Search + Jump

• Search by setting name or keyword.
• Selecting a result opens the exact settings page/section.
• Results are designed for quick jump navigation instead of manual browsing.

UI Preview Builder

• Preview Builder remains compatible with existing settings state.
• Appearance/layout changes should update preview scenes without changing underlying saved model shape.
• If a setting appears to not reflect, check that the relevant preview scene is active.

Reset Controls

• Reset single setting from its row action.
• Reset section from section controls.
• Use global reset only when you want a full baseline restore.

Role Safety

• Developer/Owner-only settings are hidden for non-privileged users.
• Admin tools are separated from code-changing developer tools.
• Experimental toggles should be validated before rollout to regular users.

Troubleshooting

• If a setting reverts after refresh, confirm account pull/push status and active user identity.
• If preview does not update, refresh the settings view and verify no stale script cache is active.
